Stenger, Beth Mooney

Elizabeth Ann Stenger (nee Mooney) passed away peacefully on April 18, 2021 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was 65 years old. Beth was born and raised in St. Louis. She graduated from Visitation Academy and Jewish Hospital Nursing School. She spent her early years as a nurse in private practice, then moved on to become a head nurse at Incarnate Word Hospital. She spent the final years of her career working in the pharmaceutical testing industry.

In 1997 she married Thomas Stenger. Beth and Tom were always there with a helping hand for family, friends and anyone in need. Together they became the favorite Aunt and Uncle for more nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews than you can count. Beth filled every room she entered with her loving, sweet kindness. With her passing, she leaves a huge hole in our hearts, but we are so grateful for having had her in our lives.

Beth is preceded in death by her father, Thomas J. Mooney, her adored mother, Joan S. Mooney, her brother, Tommy Mooney and her beloved father-in-law, Thomas M. Stenger Sr.

Beth leaves behind her loving husband of 23 years, Thomas Stenger Jr., mother-in – law Mary Ann Stenger (nee Castaldi), sister Mary Dee Hart (Don), brother Jimmy Mooney (Kathy Kohlbry), brother Dr. David Mooney (Linda), brother Stephen Mooney (Tara), sisters-in-law Julie Bostick (Ralph), Pam Stenger, Mary Colleen Losito (Tim), Cindy Bostick (Glen), Elizabeth Spengeman, Patricia Yost (Todd), Melissia Ebbole (Tom), and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Services: Interment at Calvary Cemetery is private. A celebration of Beth’s life will be held on Sunday, June 13th from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Gloria Rogers Shelter at Tilles Park , 9551 Litzsinger Rd., St. Louis MO 63124.

In lieu of flowers, donations In Memory of Beth Stenger to Pedal the Cause, supporting research at Siteman Cancer Center, or The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
