Joseph Phillip Christian, 70, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on September 28, 2022.

He was born to parents Wilbert & Mary Ellen (Capps) Christian on January 10, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri.

He joined the U.S. Marines at 17, was a Vietnam Veteran and later became an Officer. He held a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri. After living in Oregon for nearly thirty years, he recently returned to his home state of Missouri. Joseph had many accomplishments and hobbies during his life. He was a successful business owner, ham radio operator, avid gun and corvette enthusiast, and a Freemason for many years. His real love was sailing though. In 2008, he sailed from Oregon to New Zealand, much of it solo, accomplishing a lifelong dream.

He is survived by his children, Angela, David, Derek, and Alexander Christian.

Joe was a truly unique character and marched to the beat of his own drum. He will be greatly missed by those that loved him.

A ceremony for close family will be held privately.
