Thomas Bernard Sprengnether, beloved husband, father, uncle, and grandfather, died in St. Louis on November 23rd. He was 78.

Mr. Sprengnether grew up in St. Louis in a large German family of three brothers and three sisters with his parents Aloysius and Hildegard. He attended Bishop DuBourg High School, where he played football, and after graduation enlisted in the United States Army. He served a tour in Vietnam followed by a posting to Fort Richardson, Alaska. After completing his service, he returned to St. Louis where he met and married his wife of 53 years, Eloise Marie. Tom became an account executive and salesman with Frito-Lay and was an active representative of his fellow workers with their local Teamsters Union. He retired from the company after over 25 years of work.

Tom is survived by his wife, Marie, and his sons: Thomas Sprengnether and Anthony Henderson of St Louis; Stephen Sprengnether and Sarah of Houston, Texas; John Sprengnether and Briane of St Louis; and five grandchildren, Bryn, Paige, Clara, Elizabeth and John.

The family will have a visitation followed by a memorial service on December 19th at St. Cletus Catholic Church in St. Charles ( https://www.saintcletus.org/ ). The visitation will start at 9am with the memorial service at 10am. All are invited to a reception following the service at the nearby Knights of Columbus hall.
