Doris Ruth Krueger, née Doris Ruth Press, diedin St. Louis, Mo, December 3, 2022, at 100 years of age.

Doris was born in St. Louis, Missouri, July 14, 1922. She was married in 1943 to Earl W. Krueger, a Chicago native. They met at Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves where Earl was a student and then ordained and Doris the seminary president’s daughter. They served several churches from Minnesota to Kentucky while raising three daughters. Doris went on to teach at Gallaudet School for the Deaf, St. Louis, Missouri, having earned a Master’s degree at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She was a gardener and fine artist who painted the flowers she grew as well as many landscapes of places she loved.
A beloved grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her daughters, Joan Rothrock, Lynn Beinke, Lori Hirst, and their families.
Doris was an enthusiastic traveler; may this journey be her best.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
