Whitney K. Hill

In Loving Memory of Whitney K. Hill
3/24/1958-12/16/2022

Whitney Kendall Hill was born on March 24, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri. Whitney transitioned over to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday December 16, 2022. Whitney graduated from Central High School in 1976 and worked in the Hotel Industry for over 30 years. Whitney professed his love of Jesus Christ at an early age. Later in life Whitney joined Prospect Hill Baptist Church. Church was a significant part on his recovery journey in managing his sobriety and avoiding relapse, remembering recovery is about the progression not perfection. Recovery did not open up the gates of heaven and let him in, recovery opened up the gates of hell and let him out.

Whitney went on to have five children. Dominique Hill, daughter of Shirley Foley. Termaine and Terron Johnson-Hill, sons of Victoria Johnson. Ariel and Zachary Piphus, son and daughter of Dwan Piphus. Grandchildren: Termaine Johnson-Hill, Terron Johnson-Hill, Mariah Johnson-Hill and Yani Johnson-Hill.

Whitney was a very debonair as the French would say!!! Whitney loved his Levine hats, suits, ties, and shoes. He was always dressed. He was known as the one-man dancing machine. He could dance twenty songs non-stop!!! He’s received his dancing wings and he’s dancing in Heaven.

Whitney was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Deloris Hill, sister Patricia, her husband Lionel Thorpe, and sister Lillian O’Ketch.

Whitney is survived by his sister Harriette Rogers. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Particularly, Nina Armstrong who was a very dear friend.

To My Uncle Ro you will always stay alive and smiling in our memories and hearts. May your soul rest in peace I can forget everything, but I can never forget you, you were an uncle with an amazing character that is widely admired. I remember like yesterday how you danced. An Uncle is a bond of faith that even time can’t sever a gift to last all our lives, an Uncle is forever. And Pat & Dickies children we will be your Nibling’s a.k.a. nieces and nephews forever. Later
