Eleanor May Shotton (nee Fonay) passed on January 27, 2023. She was born August 13, 1938 in Denver, Colorado. May moved to California in the 1960’s where she met and married Lloyd Shotton and started their family. They later moved and settled in St. Louis, Missouri.

May is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Shotton, father Anton Fonay, mother Anna Fonay, brothers Robert Fonay and James Fonay, and sister Harriet McGuire. May is survived by her sister Beverly Edmond, her daughters Kimberly Shotton, Leann Shotton and Kristie Cox (Jay), her beloved grandson Evan Shotton (Chrissy), and her nieces Heather Kontos, Lynette Archer, and Becky Taggart.

May loved to garden. Her flower gardens bloomed with an abundance of color from spring through fall. She was an excellent baker filling her home with the aroma of sourdough bread, cinnamon rolls, and other treats. Later in life she became an avid quilter and gifted her quilts to friends and family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family.
