David Samuel Spavale was born on November 2, 1952, and left us on May 18, 2023, He was 70 years young. He was the 1st born son of the union of Samuel S. and Henrietta Spavale (nee Terry). He has 2 older brothers, the late James Spavale, and Raymond Spavale. He has 2 older sisters Carole Fitzgerald, Joyce Kampen, and 2 younger sisters Terry Scott and Mary Spavale
Dave’s career started as a cook. He met his wife Susan Spavale (nee Lucz) while cooking in fall of 1976, and they were married 2 years later, and raised 5 wonderful children together. Danielle (Christopher Nance), Angela (Corey Bruns), Gloria (Chuck Wollenberg), Vincenzo (Brittany Schaefer) and Samuel D. Spavale.
He has 7 grandchildren, Michael Nance, Noelle Nance, Jack Bruns, Abigail Bruns, Izabell Bruns, and Avery and Sarah Spavale.
He left behind Hoss, his crazy American bull Dog, and all his grand dogs, Lola, Bella, Buster, Sofie, Duncan, and Sir Walter Ray, and one cat Cameo. (We have always had pets, they are family too).
Dave loved cooking, fishing, gardening, telling stories, music, soccer (football), raising dogs and family, (not sure in what order) and spending time with family and friends.
We will be hosting a Celebration of Life on July 9th from 1-5 pm. It will be a potluck, so please bring a dish to share, come as you are (no ties or black clothes please), relax and remember.

I met Dave through my brother Rod Sanders. We went on a backpacking trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons. That was Dave’s first trip. He was so excited to be in the mountains and every turn on the trail was a new adventure. We had a blast. Great guy.
My brother from another mother. What a shock this has been ! I will miss you dearly my friend….my paisano forever.
Loved your dad. He could always put a smile on my face when it mattered the most. I will treasure my memories of him. I’m so sorry for the family’s loss. My condolences to all. He was one of a kind.
