Delores Eckert

Delores Eckert, aged 82, of Hazelwood, MO, passed away on September 28, 2024, just a day shy of her 83rd birthday. Born on September 29, 1941, Delores was widely recognized for her vibrant, social nature and deep passion for family life, often found cooking and organizing family gatherings.

Delores was a proud graduate of her local high school, where she cultivated a foundation for her lifelong passion for learning and community involvement. She was a dedicated member of St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, where she participated actively in church activities and contributed to the parish community.

Delores’s love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. She was an enthusiastic supporter at their sports events and cherished family camping trips during their younger years. Her hobbies included collecting Pez dispensers and Santa Claus figures, and she delighted in decorating her home for the holidays.

She is survived by her loving sons, John and Chris; daughters, Michele and Patty; and siblings, Joe, Tony, Phyllis, and Pat. Delores’s presence will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on November 8th, 2024, at Jefferson Barracks, reflecting her deep roots and connections within the community.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Delores can be made to support Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma research, a cause close to her heart. Delores’s legacy of love, community, and resilience will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her.
