I appreciate all the love and support, kind words, countless conversations, big smiles, funny faces and huge embraces you gave to me over the years. I will always think of you and smile. Till we meet again, I will keep your name on my lips and your love in my heart.
As a child i had summer vacations at grandmas which included lots of mini golf, swimming at the Davis’s, riding bikes around Hobart, shopping with my grandma, visiting grandpa at the barbershop and stealing his candy, breakfast at the Bright, Spot, and donuts after church. Then as an adult still visiting once or twice a year for long weekends and bringing my children to meet their great grandparents. Lots of memories, lots of love, lots of gin rummy and solitaire. My Grandma loved to give the babies hot baths in the washtub and we can’t forget the back scratches and massages.
Hugs and Kisses – Love Missy
Eternal rest grant unto Carolyn, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.
There was never a doubt in my mind that my Grandma loved me. She was very strong willed and someone to admire. My love for gardens and baking comes from trips to Indiana, wonderful memories. I miss my pen pal. I will love you forever!
I will always remember the love my grandma gave me. She played with me and taught me many things. My fondest memories are in the kitchen making the mostly fluffy eggs for breakfast and baked goods for dessert. Her banana bread and pumpkin bread with homemade icing was the best! Grandma spent numerous hours playing cards with me. She taught me how to play gin/rummy. Grandma never “took it easy on me.” I remember her laugh when I asked to “cheat.” “No way!,” she’d say, “are you kidding me!?” I became really good this way! I miss her dearly, but I have peace knowing that she is with Jesus, with no more pain or suffering. I am thankful we have the opportunity to be together again someday. Thank you Lord.
Enjoyed seeing all the family pictures! Condolences and best wishes to all.
