Phyllis Whitehead
Phyllis Jean Whitehead, 76, of St. Louis, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the doctor’s office.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2, at 1pm at Union Avenue Christian Church, 733 Union Blvd, St. Louis.
Born Feb 3, 1935 in Springfield, she was the daughter of Harold Richard and Ada Isabelle (Hill) Whitehead.
Miss Whitehead graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1952, attended the University of Illinois, Champaign and earned her master’s degree from Washington University, St. Louis. She worked as a clinical social worker until retiring at age 67.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Whitehead (husband Dave) Paschal of Aspen, CO; a grandson, Jack James Paschal of Aspen; a brother, Richard Whitehead of Hillsboro; two nieces, Joanna Hathaway of Hillsboro, and Kelly Whitehead of New York, NY; a nephew, Billy Gildow of California; and a special friend, Marilyn Dannacher of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister in infancy.
