David L. Smith, born in Eveleth Minnesota on December 17, 1924, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening November 28th 2013 after prolonged illness. Married in 1951 on March 21st, he is survived by his wife Mary and their two sons and six grandchildren. David served as an communications officer in the US Navy in World War 2 and receiving his law degree in 1950 from the University of Wisconsin. He then was employed by the US government working for the military court of appeals in Washington DC. After this he spent many years as a top executive at several large corporations.
