Richard Flacke, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the age of 84. Richard was born to Alvin and Florence Flacke on May 11, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Wehmeyer) and of the late Arline (Skelly); dear brother of the late Thelma (and Skip) Herman, the late Mary Jane (and Lloyd) Arensmeyer, the late Al (and Fran) Flacke, Bob (and Bernie) Flacke, Glen (and Mary) Flacke, Steve (and Sue) Flacke, Ray (and Tami) Flacke; dear brother-in-law of Phil (and Suzanne) Skelly; dear father of Barbara (and Alan) Schlemmer, Sandra Flacke; dear step-father of the late Michael Hyman, Dave (and Tammy) Hyman, Chip Parks; dear grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle; and beloved friend of many.

Richard was a radio operator in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He also retired from Brown Shoe Company where he was an auditor.

A memorial service will be held at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 1400 N. Main St. O’Fallon, Missouri 63366 at 10am on Friday, January 22, 2016. The burial will be at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery at a later date.
