Nancy Rhea Sargent
Nancy Rhea Sargent (Nee: Signaigo), passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 24, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband John, and children, John Michael Sargent (Sarah Sargent) and Allison Rhea Lacy (Donald Lacy). Nancy was the proud and loving grandmother and “Mom-o” to Olivia June Sargent. Nancy was also survived by her second mom and grandmother to her children, June George.
Nancy precedes her sisters Mary Ann Groth, Rhea Signaigo, Terri Kleine and Toni Mazzuca, and brothers Edward Signaigo, William Signaigo and John Signaigo. She also precedes many dear sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Nancy grew up in Clayton, Missouri. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Maryville University and dedicated over 30 years working for CitiMortgage.
Nancy courageously battled cancer for over 25 years with an amazing dignity and grace. Her strength and love for life continues to be an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, December 30 at Christ Prince of Peace Church, 415 Weidman Rd, Manchester, MO 63011. Memorial Visitation: 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Memorial Mass: 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be provided following the Memorial Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Missouri Baptist Healthcare Foundation.
Nancy donated her body to Washington University School of Medicine with hope to better understand and cure cancer.

Nancy was more than a patient to me. Truly a blessing to have known her and I will never forget her. My deapest condolence goes out to John and their family.

John and you family, we are so very sorry for your loss.When Danny told us today we were very heartbroken. We will keep you in our prayers during this time of bereavement. An amazing women fought a long hard battle. John and family, from all the amazing pictures of life memories you have shared on FB, is obviously why she kept fighting. Cousins drift apart and I am thankful for social media for the connections we all can share. Memories are everything and sharing them keeps our loved ones in our hearts. I am so sorry to learn of Nancy’s passing. I met her just a handful of times, during my “coffee shop” years with Terri. Nancy was warm and witty. My condolences to Terri, and to all of your family.
