Daryl Lee Gaertner, 49, of Arnold died Sunday February 19, 2017 at St Anthony’s Medical Center in St Louis County. Daryl was a floor installer and loved the outdoors. He loved playing disc golf and had a passion for music. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back for anyone. Born May 17, 1967 in St Louis. He was the son of Dennis Gaertner, Paulette (Hale) Taylor and Donald Taylor. He is survived by his wife of over 20 years: Michelle Barnes; In-laws: Charley and Bonnie Barnes; A son: Brandon Gaertner; Two daughters: Miranda (Matthew) Kren and Amelia Gaertner; a grandson: Dominic Helling-Gaertner; Two brothers: Darren and Rick Gaertner; a sister Deana (Nick) Brown; Two sister-in-laws: Ronda Burchard, Charla (Rick) Barnes; Six nephews: Jacob and Josh Burchard, Riley Barnes, Lucas and Christian Gaertner, Henry Brown; Five nieces: Dana, Brenda and Jamie Barnes, Chloe and Summer Gaertner; Five great nephews and four great nieces. A private family memorial service will be held for Daryl.
