She was well known in St. Louis with her zest for life and ability to love all. She was active in PFLAG and a friend to the LGBT community. Mary was a true animal lover and was her son’s fan club and supporter of his organization, Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Her friends adored her and her family cherished the love that radiated from the core of her being. She was the motivation and inspiration, for what at the time was unheard of, a Seniors for Seniors program that placed elderly sheltered animals with lonely elderly individuals. Known for her sausage rolls and crab cakes, she loved to entertain and dance. Her biggest accomplishment is summed up in one word- Love.
