Winnie Chandler (1948 – 2020)
Edwina “Winnie” Chandler (née Hagan) was born in St. Louis, Missouri to George and Lucie on May 16, 1948. On June 21, 2020, Winnie passed peacefully surrounded by her husband Larry and her daughter Sherri.
She is further survived by her son Kenny, her son-in-law Christian, and her grandsons Alexander, Adam, Dustin, and Austin.
She is preceded in death by her brothers John, Bob, Vernon, Charles, and her dear sister Helen.
Winnie and Larry married in 1966 in St. Louis and stayed married for a loving 54 years. The two both strongly affected everyone they met with their infectious spirits. Winnie loved spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking. She also had a penchant for adopting random cats.
She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely, and displayed a great passion for life by living every day to the fullest and standing up for what she believed in. We will all miss her laugh, wit, and friendship.
Winnie will be remembered in a celebration of life ceremony hosted at her daughter Sherri’s house on Saturday, June 27th.
What a beautiful woman in every respect! We were blessed to know her! Because of virus fears we are sorry to miss being with you on Saturday but you are in our thoughts and prayers.❤️❤️
Winnie is one of the BEST people that I had the pleasure to know. Everything about her was GOOD. I think of you often and miss that I won’t get to talk with you again. Love you.
We became fast friends because of her beautiful self. A laugh a minute! My heart breaks for her family and all those cats/kittens that will not be rescued by her loving hands. Such a special person. ???? Heartbroken.
