Richard Donald Konetchy
Richard Donald Konetchy of Ballwin, Missouri passed on August 29, 2020.
Dick was born on February 20, 1930 to Edith and Edward Konetchy of Roslindale, Massachusetts. He married Marie (Dyer) Konetchy on October 4, 1952, and they enjoyed a loving and lasting relationship that spanned over 67 years.
In 1954 Dick was drafted into the US Army where he served his country for two years, including a year in Germany. Upon his return to the US, Dick worked full-time providing for his young family while earning a BA from Northeastern University in Industrial Engineering. He later earned his MBA from the University of New Haven.
He was a lifelong Christian Scientist and was a member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts and The First Church of Christ Scientist, Town and Country, where he actively served the church in many capacities over the years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie. He leaves behind son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Rita, grandson Matthias, and two great grandchildren, Oskar and Sophie of Frankfurt, Germany; daughter Kim Konetchy of Ballwin, Missouri; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Jeff Ostheim, grandchildren Tory, Matthew and Rachael of Moore, South Carolina and son Paul Konetchy of Ballwin, Missouri.
