Barbara Ann Thompson
Barbara Ann Thompson (Giblin), “Barb” of Ferguson, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the age of 66.
Beloved wife of Robert P. Thompson and loving mother of Brian R. Thompson, the two people who were her world and reason for living.
Barb was born on September 22, 1954, to John J. and Peggy Tisius Giblin as the first of the Giblin siblings followed by John Giblin, Katie Buchholz, Kelly Giblin Ray, Micki Meyers, and Dan Giblin.
Barb went to the “Our Lady of the Presentation” grade school in Overland, then attended and graduated from Ritenour High in 1972. Post graduation, she managed secretarial staff at Boeing-McDonnell Douglas for 25 years before moving on to joyfully raise her son.
Barb started her own family on the beautiful day of April the 8th of 1983, when she married Robert Thompson. In 1990, she became a mom when Brian Thompson was adopted at the age of six weeks.
Barb loved helping others and worked at the Saint Vincent de Paul Society food pantry and Family Assistance program.
Her hobbies were knitting, counter cross stitching and she work tirelessly on a Giblin and Thompson family tree.
