Candelaria Romero passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-nine on October 20th, 2008 at Mary Queen and Mother nursing home in St. Louis, Missouri.

Candy (Martinez) Romero was born on January 24, 1909, in Abiquiu, New Mexico, and was married to the late Frank Romero for forty-five years.

Beloved sister of Juanita (Martinez) Chapman and dearest guardian of Glen Woodruff. Beloved aunt of Rita Woodruff, Daniel Martinez, Christopher Martinez, John Chapman, Teresa Campbell and Anne Kilburn. Loving great-aunt and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Romero, her brother, Celso Martinez and her sister, Della (Martinez) Hoven.
