Merk, Dorothy L. “Dot“
Born in Daisy, Missouri, 09/10/26 to
the late Florence and Iva Statler.
Entered into eternal life 10/27/08. Devoted
wife of the late Vernon Merk; dear mother
of Kenneth Merk (Mary) and Ronald
Merk (Marilyn); dear grandmother
of Todd Merk and the late Brian Merk;
dear sister of Wilma Mileham
(the late Elmer), Harold Statler (Sandra),
Gerald Statler (Nora ); dear Aunt,
Niece, and Cousin; beloved and faithful
companion of David Swinney; and, friend
to many.
Dot was, above all, a gracious and loving
person, until recent years very active with her
Church, Friedens Chapel UCC in many capa-
cities, an active Board Member (Treasurer)
of the Peregrine Society and a 50-year Member
of the Order of Eastern Star, Rob Morris Chapter.
In an effort to find a cure for the disease which
caused her so much pain on earth., Dot left her
remains to Washington Univ. School of Medicine
for research.
