Elizabeth Power
Power, Elizabeth Joan of St. Louis, Missouri, died on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the age of 75 after a long battle against kidney, lung and heart disease. Dear daughter of the late Edward and Marie Finnegan, loving mother of Dennis Power, Donna Bomkamp and Kevin Power, beloved grandmother of Melinda, Mark, Logan and Jacob. Beloved sister of Patricia Hultz, Dorothy Bowen and Margaret Christen. She is preceded in death by her brothers Edward and William Finnegan and by her sisters Mary Schilli and Virginia Faye Gassel.
Services: Funeral Mass was celebrated 10:00 AM, Friday, October 29, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Church, 4200 Delor, St Louis, MO. A small woman with an enormous heart and a gigantic spirit, she will leave an immense void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Lung Association.
Dear Dennis,
So thankful you let me know about your Mother’s passing. I know she is in Heaven. She only did good her whole life. When we were girlhood friends, I never heard her say anything bad or ever complain. I’m thankful we reconnected later in life, and I saw that she never changed from her sweet, kind self. To all her family I sent my deepest condolences.
