 Bender, Gloria O. 1924 – 2011 Wife of the late John E. Bender; beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Services: Grace Lutheran Chapel, 10015 Lance Dr., St. Louis, MO 63137, on Saturday, June 25. Visitation 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. with service to follow.  A short service will then be held, followed by a light luncheon in the church basement.

    The first taste of cheesecake was compliments of visiting her at the bakery more than 40 years ago. How some things stick with you.

    Aunt Sissy was a wonderful woman, she will be greatly missed. So many fond memories of her, gooey butter cake and spending the day with her every Wed. during the summer.
