James Sprouse

James “Jim” John Sprouse, age 66 of Camdenton, MO. 

Born November 5, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri. Beloved husband to Ruth (Dougan) Sprouse. Brother to Jacklyn (Sprouse) Maciekowicz and Joyce (Sprouse) Burgess; Stepfather to Diane (Cusick) and Joe Schmidt; Linda (Cusick) and Michael Witte, Cindy Cusick and Margo Jones, Keith Cusick, Mark and Neena Cusick, Gregg Cusick, Laura (Cusick) and Bill Schmidt. Uncle to nieces, Debbie, Dana, Chrissy and Cindy and to nephews Christopher and Justin. Step Grandfather to Brooke, Brian, Aaron, Casie, Joey, Andy, Brandon, Josh, Rachel, Justin, Brendan, and Cameron.   He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest James Sprouse and Bernice “Mary” (Stanwyck) Sprouse and by his sister JoAnn (Sprouse) Blake. 
Jim  was a Carpenter for the St. Louis County Government Center before retiring in Camdenton. An avid fisherman, he loved to travel and being outdoors. He was self-taught in computer technology and enjoyed building train sets and remote controlled airplanes. 
 
In lieu of flowers, his wife has requested donations to The Special Olympics
.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Choteau Avenue, St. Louis. A reception will follow afterward, details to be decided at a later date. 
 
 
 
 
Don’t weep at my grave, for I am not there.
I have a date with a butterfly to dance in the air.
I’ll be singing in the sunshine wild and free,
playing tag with the wind, while I’m waiting for thee.

    Jimmie I took care of you from day one, I hope you know how much i will miss you, yo were a great friend and i love ya Buddy. Swimm with the Dolphins and i will swimm with you and them some day.I miss you bunches.

    so long- big guy, thanks for making some of my memories, (canada and strip mine fishing, not being too shabby on a pool table,or, horse shoes.
