Obituary: James H. Leamon

James (Jim) Hornsby Leamon, 66, of O’Fallon, IL passed away on October 9, 2008, during open heart surgery due to complications.

He was born in Athens, TN, October 7, 1942, and was the son of the late James Elmer and Adelia Lucille Hornsby Leamon. Jim attended McMinn County High School in Athens, TN class of 1960. He attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville from 1977 to 1979. He also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1969.

Jim had retired from Tennessee Valley Authority (Bull Run Steam Plant) in 1996, where he worked for more than 25 years.

Jim is survived by his son, Erik Chad Leamon (Catrina); daughter, Ingrid Marie Leamon; granddaughter, Bailey Leamon (7); grandsons, Alexander Leamon (2) and Nathaniel Leamon (5 months); and Sister, Clara Jane (C.J.) Cox.
