I knew Joanie for a very short time through scripture class. She was a lovely friend. Love and prayers.
Joan will be missed by our family & friends here in Washington. She was my children’s only Aunt on their Father’s Side. I first met Joan and her family in 1964 when I Married her brother, who preceded her in death in 1978. She was a wonderful sister-in-law. We will always remember all the trips her and Jim made to Washington to visit us. She made many friends out here. The best trip we took with her and Jim was in 1993 when we took the ferry to Alaska. What a great time we had. We talked on the phone every month, many conversations lasted for several hours. Joan will always be with usand never forgotten.
Joan was a great aunt to me. I remember all the Christmas’s when she would send us boxes full of presents, we all looked forward to digging in the box to pick our present. I will never forget you and always miss you.

I will miss visits from my great aunt. She always brought a smile to my face as a child growing up and was always positive about every situation.
