Passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Aug 13, 2011.  She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Bill, her four children, Cathy (Chris) of Colorado, Sue of California, Neal (Heidi) of Washington, and Tricia (Peter) of St. Louis, as well as ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.   

Margaret earned a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in 1945 and a Master’s degree from the University of Chicago in 1947.  She worked as a school librarian.  She was an active member of Brentwood Congregation Church, St. John’s United Church of Christ and the American Association of University Women. 

Margaret is lovingly remembered for her decades of volunteer work, her passion for reading, and her beautiful flower garden, which she shared so generously.
