At age 86 this true child of God finally returned home August 27, 2010.

As devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt and loyal friend, Rita shared her joy of life with all she met. And those she met were blessed.

Beloved mother of Emmet James (Jim/Jamie) and wife Renate, Bruce Allen (deceased), Terrence Matthew, Kathleen Anne and husband Mark Munie, Patrick Joseph (deceased), 11 grandchildren (all special) and 13 great-grandchildren (equally special).

Rita’s strong faith in God navigated her through a difficult life. She successfully raised her 5 children by herself. Despite her own troubles she always found a way to help others. She would say "God has given me a servant’s heart" and take up whatever task needed to be done.

This gentle spirit was beautiful without and within. Even in her later dementia she brought joy to others.
