Well Ol’ Buddy, I sure am going to miss you. I will always think of you as my best buddy.
We met the day the new boat sailed into Alton and became best friends immediately. We enjoyed some great times together playing roulette, cards, and the slots. We both kidded about the black clouds over our heads that kept us from winning the “Big Jackpot” but we still had fun.
We always laughed, thinking back of the day we each devoured a 32oz steak up in the fancy dining room and could hardly move afterwards.
Even after I moved away we stayed in contact by phone, even though you never made a long distant call except for once, and as you know, it floored me! LOL…. Time would seem to get away from us and before we knew it, we had talked for 3 or 4 hours!
I also enjoyed the birthday cards we sent to each other every year with jokes, pictures, and coupons. You always knew how to make me laugh with the stuff you put in my card. I always looked forward to that card from you every birthday.
I pray that you will rest in peace and am glad you won’t have to suffer anymore. I am sure the black cloud has been removed from over your head and the big jackpots are rolling in. Save some for me.
To Rob’s family: Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. He will be truly missed by many.
I will always remember Rob as really enjoying family meals together and truly getting a kick out of our grandkids, who are definitely joyful and beautiful! Even at the end of his life when it was difficult, he came to ball games and wanted to be around to share special family times. He will always hold a tender place in the hearts and memories of all his loved ones. Rest in Peace. Gail Herzog
Rob, will miss you. You were a lot of fun at the bingo table at the bell. May you rest in peace.

Uncle Rob, You will be missed by your entire family, and never forgotten. May God’s love surround your children and grandchildren during this difficult time.
The staff of Today’s AdVantage would like to express our sympathy to Rob’s family. He was a frequent visitor to our office and a loyal “coupon clipper”. He won several times in our various contests and knew all of us by our first name. He will be missed.
We enjoyed Rob’s company at the Belles and Beaus Bingo and also at our Friday lunch get togethers. No matter how he was feeling, he was always very upbeat. We will miss him. Our prayers are with you and with Rob. Jim and Elaine
