Age 82, died June 8th, 2008. Beloved wife of Leon C. “Lee” Schaffner for 62 years; loving mother of Mary Lee (Bill) Brown; dearest sister of Charles (Lea) Thys of Belgium; special friend of Jean Angel and Becky Funk; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Yvonne was an avid reader of mysteries and science fiction, an expert seamstress, and a talented oil painter. She was also a long time volunteer at the St. Peters Rec-Plex. But, she found her greatest joy in being a homemaker, wife and mother. She will be sadly missed by all.
