Sedonia Love
Sedonia Marie Kirkmon was born December 29, 1947 in Beaumont, Texas to the union of the late Reverend Lester Kirkmon Sr. and Sedonia Quill Kirkmon.
She attended Charlton Pollard High School where she received a cosmetology license and diploma in 1965. Later she attended Tyler Barber College.
She relocated to St. Louis where she married Johnson Love Jr. From this union came Christopher Love and Gidget Latisha Love.
Sedonia attended nursing school at O’Fallon Tech where she received her license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a nurse for 39 years. She worked in various nursing homes for 19 years. She was employed with Delmar Gardens of Creve Coeur for 20 years working with the Geriatrics Unit as charge nurse on Div. 200.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnson Love Jr. , parents Rev. Lester Kirkmon Sr., Sedonia Quill Kirkmon, Grandparents Isaac Quill and Ella Quill, brothers Isaac E. Kirkmon, Esau Kirkmon and Lester Junior Kirkmon.
Left to cherish her memories are her two children Christopher Love and Gidget Latisha Love. Her only son-in-law Geno F. Outlaw. Additional sons and daughters, Hattie Love of Milwaukee, Catherine Love Ratliff of Mississippi, Jarrod Love of Chicago, Todd Dubose, Earl Davis, Keith Gandy all of St. Louis, DeShawn Love serving in the military, grandchildren Christopher Love Jr., Tyisaiah Maeve Harris Love, Demonta Maurice Love, Chrystyne Joya Love, brothers Harold Kirkmon, Herman Kirkmon, sister Lester Mae Mooney all of Beaumont, Texas. Three sisters-in-law Alice Kirkmon of Houston, Texas, Lillie Marie Kirkmon, and Elizabeth Kirkmon all from Beaumont, Texas, aunts Georgia Mae Landry (godmother), and Callie Quill, nephews Lawrence Ray, Rondell, Willie, nieces Miranda, Jennifer, and Lisa all from Beaumont, Texas. A host of other family and friends. The south St. Louis community that viewed her as a mother, friend, and aunt, all of Beaumont, Texas, residents and staff at Delmar Gardens of Creve Coeur, still living a special uncle Mr. Ed Farr.
