Vaughn Van Aman

One of my favorite memories of Vaughn when I was a little girl, was the time he filled his bathtub with water from the creek & tadpoles. He told Mom it was a Science progect but later told me he just wanted to watch them grow.

I was 7 yrs. younger so he did pick on me alot but that was usually when he got bored. I mostly remember him spending alot of time with our dog Sam (he loved animals), playing wiffle ball & studying. (Besides partying with some wild girls.) Vaughn always told me he "wanted action".  I guess that meant fun with woman. I was in awe at his memory & how smart he was. He could remember dates of events with our family from yrs. ago. He was the same with history . In my eyes he was a Math wizard..I had fun asking him long drawn out math problems & he answered them in his head within seconds .
He used 2 make me laugh at family gatherings. Sometimes he’d go out to garage of my parents house 2 get stoned & then he’d ask me if he looked stoned. I’d have to laugh at the expression on his face & his blood shot eyes. I’d go get him visine & he’d come in,cross his hands across his chest just observing & making funny expressions at whoever was talking without them knowing it just to make me laugh. I guess u’d have to be there but he was really funny when he wanted to be. Vaughn had to endure alot of heartache in his life because he was so misunderstood & that made me sad but I want to think of the loving part of Vaughn with soft a heart & sensitive side. He took me to the pretty park across the street from him where he’d spent alot of time. He always wanted to make sure the ducks got enough to eat, he loved nature & he loved his family. We talked alot the last 4 months of his life & I understand why he choose to be in a better place & check-out early. I loved him & he’ll be in my heart forever.

Perhaps they are not stars, but openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours trough and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. You will be missed. Jody

    Uncle Vaughn,
Your soul is now at peace and can rest happily above the stars. The family will never fill the void but has gained an angel above to look over us. We love you Uncle Vaughn, please give a big hug and kiss to grandpa, grandma and Uncle Tommy. We will never forget you…

May your spirit soar free! There’s another angel to watch over all little creatures. And my deepest sympathies to the rest of the Van Aman family. Love, Susie
