Adele Louise Rochow

December 7, 1933, to November 1, 2022

Adele was preceded in death by her husband, Otto, parents George and Ethel, sister Gloria and brother George.  She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Rochow Byerly, sons Kurt and Eric Rochow, delightful daughters-in-law, Isabel Martinez Rochow and Lynn Higinbotham, her brilliant grandson Emilio, her loving brother and childhood dancing partner, Bobby Busch, and many adoring nieces, nephews and friends.

Everyone who met Adele knew she was born and raised in the Bronx, New York.  In the time of the local butcher, milkman and mailman, Adele knew them all.  Their names, their families and their stories.  She carried this interest in others throughout the settings of her life — a move to Wisconsin, a move to Missouri, work at a high school library, and her many years at Cape Albeon Assisted Living.  Adele valued home and creating a setting where others felt welcome.  She and Otto were the couple to know in every neighborhood.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on December 17th in the Chapel at Kirkwood United Methodist Church, 201 West Adams, Kirkwood, MO 63122.  Visitation with the family is in the church lounge from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Andrews Charitable Foundation,

https://standrewscharitablefoundation.org/, 1001 Craig Road, Suite 200, St. Louis, MO 63146.

Beautiful memories of my Aunt Adele who I loved dearly will be held close in my heart. Until we meet again, may God hold you in his loving arms.
