October 3rd, 1952 — February 22nd, 2023

Amy Verseman, age 70, of Wentzville. Mo, passed away on Wednesday, Feb 22, 2023, at her home.

She was born October 3, 1952, in Oskaloosa, Iowa to Carroll B. and Annabelle (Monroe) Newell.  

Amy attended Eddyville Community Schools, in Eddyville Iowa, graduating in 1970.  She then graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in 1974.  

She worked in the computer programming analysis field for the federal government, and then as an independent contractor until her retirement.  Traveling throughout  the US and Canada was a job benefit she really enjoyed.   Amy also enjoyed  several hobbies including reading, creating amazing cross stitch artwork, gardening, and cooking.  

Amy married David R Verseman in 1983.  He proceeded her in death in 2005.

Surviving is her much loved and somewhat spoiled dog Poppy.  Also, a sister, Arlene Newell (Jay Hutchings) of Floris, Iowa, nieces and nephews Austin Newell (Lysandra), Elana Newell, Jacob and Mason Lindsey, Allison Blank and Joe Vlinder  (Christina ), sisters in laws Danette (John) Blank, Donna Lindsey, and Brenda Newell, as well as several cousins. 

Those proceeding her in death were husband David , her parents, brother Alan Newell  and David’s parents, Jack and  Jacquelin Verseman

Per her wishes, Amy’s body has been cremated.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
