Arthur S. Kay

Arthur S. “Steve” Kay, age 79, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022.  Beloved son of the late Estelle Pokres and Nathan Koplowitz.  Arthur is survived by his daughters, Shari Ford and Mimi Roberts, and his loving grandchildren, Bret, Joshua, Michael, Matthew, and Julia, and his great-grandchild, Savannah.  He is also survived by his brother Bradford Koplowitz.  Arthur is a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School, he received his BA at the University of Oklahoma and went to Law School at Washington University.  Arthur was truly one of a kind.  He had a vivacious personality..he would walk into a room and make anyone laugh.  Arthur had a love for travel, art, and above all, his family. He loved his grandchildren as his “own”.  He will be greatly missed.  We love you Dad, forever.

Arthur’s family will honor him with a private memorial on Art Hill, in front of the St. Louis Art Museum a very special place for him.

Goodness I’m sorry to see that “Arthur Steve” is gone. I hadn’t seen him in several years, but still think of him so fondly. He sure was a character who lit up a room for sure. I just ran across some photos of him. Let me know if you want them. Donna Spence
