Bertha Williams
Bertha Ann Williams, lovingly known as Bertha Ann Boddy was born on May 5, 1956 in Saint Louis, Missouri. Bertha was the cherished daughter of Esther Mae Boddy and Joe Boddy. Bertha was a vibrant and outspoken woman, known for her strong business acumen and passion for cooking and decorating. A proud graduate of Sumner High School in 1973, she furthered her education at Lindenwood College, earning a degree in Business Administration in 1982. Bertha dedicated her professional life to Southwestern Bell, where she excelled from Communications Manager to Sales Manager, leading her to Pleasanton, California, where she continued to thrive. Returning to Saint Louis, Bertha joined in holy matrimony with Trevor Benet Williams. Their beautiful union brought forth two beloved sons, Trevor Benet Williams Jr. and Daniel Ryan Williams, along with her dear daughter Joy A. Preston from a previous relationship. Bertha’s legacy lives on through her loving family: her daughter Joy, her sons Trevor and Daniel, their wives Amber Williams and Destiny Jenkins, and her five cherished grandchildren—Ashlee Preston, Koree Hayden, Kobe Hayden, Cadence Williams, and Solace Williams. She is also survived by many cousins and friends who will forever remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit. Though Bertha’s time with us has ended, her memory will forever remain in our hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the joy of family, and we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace with the Lord.

Man, it’s hard to believe that this is real. Although many years have passed since I’ve seen Bertha, I can still imagine/hear her voice in my head from back when Joy and I were kids. Dang. May she rest well in Heaven with no pain, no sickness, no tears, nothing broken, nothing missing. Until we meet again Bertha, you’ll never be forgotten. My prayers go out to Joy and the kids, Trevor, Daniel and all the family.
Joy I am so sorry for your loss. Every time I ran into Bertha it was pure joy. Bertha will truly be missed. Love you.
Bertha Boddy was my classmate from the class of 1973 and she was a sweet person. My condolences and prayers goes out to her sons, daughter and grandchildren. Bertha is now absent from her earthly body and present with the Lord. No more pain and no more suffering. Hallelujah!
My heart is aching. As you sit at the feet of our Lord, I’m sure you are debating him. How I will miss those hour+ conversations. Know that I will always love you and think of you often.
Oh my, my heart is so heavy right now. I meet Bethany at Wells Fargo some years back. When we meet we just kinda embraced one another. I’m from Memphis,TN we normally would talk frequently, however my mother took very ill and with me being her caregiver it’s been hard for me to talk with any of my close friends lately. This has taken me off my feet. She was one of the ones who I could vent to, share my most vulnerable secrets and not be judge but love. My dear sister, friend and angel you’re one of the ones who will most definitely be miss by all. Forever my sister, Sheileen
