1944-2012

Betty “Sissy” J. Pelton, 67, Cedar Hill, passed away Wednesday March 7, 2012.

She was born in Naylor, MO on March 19, 1944, the daughter of the late William Hays and his wife Goldie, nee Starwalt.

On August 11, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” C. Pelton in St. Louis, MO. The couple made their home in St. Louis, then moved to Cedar Hill in 1978, off Local Hillsboro Road, for a few years, finally moving to Cedar Hill School Road since 1985.

Betty was preceded in death by her oldest son, Michael (1979) and her grandson, Barry A., Jr. (2003) her parents William and Goldie Hays, and her brothers, Frank, Clifford and William, sister, Geraldine.

She is survived by her husband, Robert C., daughter Pamela Ulrey and husband Roger, Sullivan; twins: daughter, Cheryl, Cedar Hill and son, Barry, House Springs; three grandchildren, Nathan Beckermann, Jeanna and Jaclyn; Half brother, Jimmy Galpin and wife Edie, Belcamp, Maryland; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Betty’s wishes were met by St. Louis Cremation shortly after death and she was brought home.
