Bill F. Wiles

Bill F. Wiles passed away February 9, 2023.  Bill is survived by his husband, Kevin, and his nephew, Michael.  He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Judy.

Bill graduated university and began work in the financial industry.  He soon realized an office job was simply not for him.  He obtained his cosmetology license and began his career as a hair stylist.  This career continued for nearly 50 fulfilling years.  His accomplishments included managing Famous-Barr West County, The Salon at Neiman Marcus, and Saks before retiring from Jaleh Coiffure in December 2022.

An inveterate world traveler, Bill visited China, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe multiple times.  He also managed to visit the South Pacific, India, Egypt, Morocco, and the Emirates in the last few years.  His partner and husband of 30 years, Kevin happily accompanied him for these incredible vacations.  Their favorite destination was Paris, France; visiting 14 times together.

As much as he loved to travel, spending time with his innumerable friends was by far his favorite activity.  Bill was incredible in his ability to befriend every person he ever met.  His friend, Brandi, shared the following and it is the perfect description of him.

“If you are really, REALLY lucky in life, you’ll have a friend like Bill.  Bill was a radiant light in this sometimes dark void we call life.  I feel that he most likely held the dossier for everyone in life because he remembered every little detail of your being, like you were the most important person in his world.  Even if our paths hadn’t crossed in six months, he would catch right up with me as if we had just spoke yesterday.  Bill had a laugh that was contagious with a sense of humor to boot.  He always made me feel like a million dollars when I felt like a torn $2 bill.

Learning that Bill was no longer of this world was a reminder going forward to live life loud, be yourself, have fun, smile like your teeth are perfect, laugh until it hurts, be someone’s cheerleader, get out on that floor and DANCE, drive with the top down, travel the world, and to just BE MORE LIKE BILL!!!!”

A Celebration of Life will take place for Bill on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from noon until 3pm at the American Legion Post 400 in Fenton, Missouri.
