Bob Gorman
In loving memory
Bob Gorman
January 25, 1957 – March 23, 2019
Bob Gorman was born in Hayti, Missouri to Burns and Maggie Gorman. He was the youngest of eight children. He attended Chesterfield Elementary school in Chesterfield, Missouri. When the teacher had to stand HIM in the corner it was show time for Bob, the Class Clown. Bob also attended Maplewood High School.
He loved music, telling jokes and playing cards, he was a free spirit, enjoyed life in his own way, worked as a cook in the food service industry. Bob had great affection for family and always kept in touch, especially with his older brother Burns Jr. In the last few days of his life, he was surrounded by family and fell asleep in death peacefully on March 23, 2019.
His father, a sister and brother preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his death his mother Maggie Gorman; brother Robert Gorman; sister (Dorothy) Michael Vance Jr. of Kansas City, MO; (Burns Jr.) Nora Gorman; two sisters, Bertha Holton and Mary Wilkerson of St. Louis, MO; two aunts, Portia Jones and Ida Holton of Benton Harbor, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We can look forward and find comfort in God’s word The Bible: Rev. 21: 3,4:
“…and God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
John 5: 28,29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to resurrection of life, and those whom practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement.”
Let’s remember Bob by his smile and laughter.
The family wishes to express appreciation for the love, support and kindness displayed to us during this difficult time.
To Aunt Maggie and family, I just wanted you to know that my heart is with the family and friends of Bob. I pray that he Rest In Peace. Bob’s old sayings was Bob going to be Bob or Iam going to do me. Rest In Peace cuz-brother.
