Carol J. Schulz, (née  Reeves) died on March 14, 2023, age 81, in St. Louis, Missouri.    She was born on December 1, 1941, in Alexander, Kansas, and grew up in Summersville in 1955, later moving to St. Louis, where she met her future husband, Jim Schulz. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Esta and Sidney Reeves.    Her siblings include two sisters, Catherine (Reeves) Robinson and Laura (Reeves) Hasimere.   Extended Reeves family members include nieces and nephews:  Debra and Bob Brower; Pam and Randy Farmer; Scott and Elaine Young; and Jeff and Terri Young.

Extended Schulz family members include: Karen and Pat Gruber and their son, Alex; Chris and Marco Polizzi and their children Francesco, Julian, and Marissa; Robert and Deborah Moll and their children Bethany, Benjamin, Jeremy, Seth, Jesse  and17 grandchildren;  Susan and Eric Brash and their children Rachael, Marc and John and seven grandchildren;  Ana and Ray Schulz and their children Kara and Michelle and three grandchildren; Kay and Don Brendel (both deceased) and their children Kent (deceased), Steven and David and four grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Jim (1996), and their shared love of the outdoors was passed on to their son Bryan.  Carol and Jim shared an interest in archery, hunting, and the outdoors, purchasing property in Farmington, where Jim, a carpenter, built their get-away cabin.  This cabin was the site of many fall Schulz family reunions.  

Visitation on Saturday, March 25, 2023, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m, followed by a celebration of life.
