Catherine Josephine Kister (Komeshak), born 12-29-1953 at St Mary’s Hospital in Illinois, died at 2:10pm on February 10, 2015 from cancer.

She lives on through her husband Frederick; daughter Kelly; and sons Steven, John, Joseph, and Peter.

She grew up Washington Park, IL and attended St Teresa’s Academy and Bellville Area College. She worked as a clerk for the Hazelwood Post Office and at the United States Postal Service National Distribution Center for over a decade before being a stay at home mother to her five children. She was involved with the Legion of Mary and prayed devoutly. She loved volunteering and attending church events, enjoyed music and watching crime shows, but most of all she enjoyed raising and spending time with her family.

Visitation Friday 13, 2015 at St. Louis Cremation 2135 Chouteau Ave. St. Louis, MO 63103 5-8pm and her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30am at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Parish in Florissant 1210 Paddock Florissant, MO 63033 with viewing to begin at 9am, repast following service. The burial will be Monday February 16 at 10:45am Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 2900 Sheridan Rd. St. Louis, MO 63125
