Christine Elizabeth Murphy

Christine Elizabeth Murphy (1964-2016) died on December 22nd following a painful, difficult journey due to Multiple Sclerosis.

Multiple Sclerosis took her ability to walk, she loved hiking, camping, rollerblading, and playing tennis. She always had a way with words.
Despite the disease, Christine continued to have a wide range of interests. She found beauty in nature, and recently devoted much enthusiasm to a newfound hobby: I phone photography.
She kept in touch with friends and family by Facebook and phone. Her most enjoyable activity became aquatic therapy with Scott and Sarah. She was a devoted rescuer of dogs over the years, with Tazo and Gypsy Jones, her current loves.
Christine graduated from Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia and Colgate University with a B.A. In English. She worked as a paralegal in Atlanta and St. Louis. In 1995, she earned a doctorate in jurisprudence from St. Louis Law School. She then practiced law in St. Louis.

Christine is survived by her mother, Judy Barousse, of Pensacola Beach, Florida and her brother, Michael Murphy, his wife Karen, niece, Delaney and nephew, Sean, of Marietta, GA, her much loved cousins, and her companion and caregiver, Ricardo Perez, of St. Louis.
In March, a Memorial Service will be held in Allentown, PA where she will come to rest in the family memorial plot.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please donate to the Humane Society.
