Christopher Michael Roberts

Christopher Michael (Chris) Roberts was born on July 3, 1975 in St. Louis, MO to his parents Kenneth and Jeanne Roberts. He was the second of five children.

He graduated from Parkway West High School in 1993. After being trained as an apprentice, he worked secularly, many years, as an I.B.E.W Journeyman Electrician. Most recently, he worked for Ameren U.E. as an Electrical Repairman at the Labadie Plant, in Labadie, MO.

Chris married Heather Denise Comley on May 17,1998. They were a very special couple who enjoyed spending much time together. One of their favorite recreational activities was attending St. Louis Cardinal baseball games. They attended several games each year, even celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary, this past year, at a Cardinal’s game. They also enjoyed spending quality time with their family and friends.

Chris had the wonderful blessing of being raised by Christian parents. He made his own personal dedication to Jehovah and was baptized as one of his Witnesses on July 21, 1990. Unbeknown to him, the sister that would become his future bride was baptized that following Saturday. He was a sterling example in following the Bible principle of loving Jehovah God with his whole heart, soul, strength, and mind, as well as loving his neighbor as himself. (Mt 22:37; Mr 12:30) This great love motivated he and Heather to learn French (a language he studied in elementary and high school) and to attend the Central French Congregation. Their heartfelt desire was to teach French-speaking individuals in the St. Louis area, from the Bible, about Jehovah and the wonderful hope for the future that He has planned for humans, including the hope of an earthly resurrection. (Ac 24:15) Learning, speaking, and teaching the Bible in French was something that brought Chris great joy. Over the years, he also enjoyed many other privileges and blessings as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, such as serving as a Ministerial Servant and an Elder. He also had the opportunity to assist with a recent construction project at Wallkill Bethel, in Wallkill, NY.

Chris passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2018 at the age of 43. Left with memories to cherish are his wife Heather, his parents Kenneth and Jeanne, his parents-in-law Phillip and Wanda Anderson, his maternal grandmother Marcella Buehler, his paternal grandmother Katherine Roberts, his grandmother-in-law Jane Miller, his siblings Brandon (Aleamia), Kimberly White, Jason (Keisha), and Breanna (Jared) Woodard, his brother-in-law Nicholas (Agatha) Comley, his nephews Shawn, Brendyn, Royal, and Carson (who will miss their big “Uncle Chris”), uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of other family and friends from all over the country.

Chris was a kind and loving man; a proverbial “gentle giant” and a big “teddy bear”. He will be dearly missed by all. However, because he “endured to the end,” (Mt 24:13) we look forward to seeing him again, very soon, in Jehovah’s new world!

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29th at 3 PM. The location will be: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses

11800 Old Halls Ferry Rd.

Florissant, MO 63033

    Dear Heather

I’m so sorry for your loss of Chris. He was such a good and humble brother. He will be missed dearly but definitely not forgotten. May Jehovah continue to keep you in his love as he comforts and encourages you in this difficult time. It won’t be long before you can hold your love in your arms again in the new system. ??Just see yourself and see him too. Just see you both in a world that is new…?? ?? Agapé my sister. Heather, Jason (Keisha), Brandon (Aleamia) and Roberts family,

Carmelita and I wanted to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of Chris. Heather, Jason, and Brandon we are praying that Jehovah continue to sustain you during this most difficult time along with the rest of your family. Chapter 19 of the older book, “Is This Life All There Is?” has a beautiful explanation and illustrations that reassure us of just how easy it is for our most powerful God Jehovah to bring Chris back real soon. With the nearness of Jah day, we pray that you guys continue streadfast in your determination to serve Jehovah, because you are going to be the first ones (his beautiful family) he is going to look for when he is resurrected real soon. May your family find comfort and strength in your fond memories and the beautiful Bible hope, the resurrection. Isaiah 26:19

Dear sister, you don’t know us, but we worked with Christopher on many RBC projects. He was always smiling and was a hard worker for Jehovah. He and my husband talked frequently because my husband worked for the same company as Christopher. We have relocated to Alabama as need greeters 7 years ago. We just received the company magazine and what a shock to learn of our dear brother’s passing. We are so, so sorry and saddened to learn of this! Only for a brief time will we miss his presence. Stay strong for Jehovah my sister. We love you and include you in our deep heartfelt prayers.
