Desiree Rathmann
Desiree Nicole Rathmann, of St. Louis, passed away suddenly on March 28, 2014 at the age of 32.
She was on born July 30, 1981 to Dan and Patti Rathmann. Desiree is survived by her parents; her beloved Grandmother “Me Me” Marilyn Buckner; her 6 brothers, Dan Jr., David, Douglas, Adam, Alexander, and Robbert Rathmann; her beautiful children, Hannah, Joey, Tyler, Zachary, and Haley; and many nieces , nephews, cousins and friends.
Services: The family will receive friends on Friday, April 4th, 2014 for a memorial gathering at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis MO 63103 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Private interment held at a later date.
Any friends or family that would like to contribute photos to the tribute video for Desiree that will stay posted on this site can send jpeg images to jeseeman@gmail.com with the word “Desiree” in the subject line of the email. We will continue to update the video periodically as time passes.

Hello I would like to say, I’m sorry for you all lost. Desiree was a really good friend to me she was my neighbor we started hanging out because of our kids played together that was 3 years ago I miss her so much.. sorry for your lost once again. She will always be in my heart….much love??

Gosh i cant believe you are gone i still can remember my big sister Carol bringing you home, I just thought you were so cool ! With all them rings on all your fingers and earings in your ears and you were always really nice to me and funny 🙂 I always looked up to you and wanted to be like you. hi me and desiree were best friends in high school.I will always remember her beautifull smile and the way she used to make me laugh I love you desi you will always be in my heart rip my dear friend!!!
I am happy to be able to say at one point in my life Desiree and I were great friends. She never failed to make me laugh. She will be missed. My heart goes out to her whole family and friends.

You are now at peace. So I should be at peace with it as well but I’m not… But with that being said, and I find myself backtracking for the first time ever in saying what I want to say. Death is a release of pain, which is why everyone’s heart that you have touched is now left with a fingerprint filled with that pain. Death is also a new beginning, we are spirits before we are born and as such, we must eventually return… You knew the love I have for you and I need never say Good bye because I’ll see you again on the other side, will forever feel you in my heart, and feel your love in all the peoples hearts that you have touched… I love you Red.
Gone From My Sight

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then, someone at my side says, “There, she is gone”
Gone where?
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me — not in her.
And, just at the moment when someone says, “There, she is gone,”
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, “Here she comes!”

My family just found out about Desiree, and our hearts are breaking for your loss. Desiree was such a big part of our family, and we loved her very much. She had a lot of love and a brightness in her soul and she cared deeply for us all, as we her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and especially her children. May they know how special their Momma was.
One year today my beautiful Granddaughter. I miss you and love you so much. Still difficult little girl…..
