Diana Obernuefemann
Diana Obernuefemann, nee Peradotti, 72, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from cancer.
Diana was born in Collinsville, IL on October 5, 1951. She graduated from Collinsville High School where she received a scholarship in recognition of her clarinet playing skills in the Collinsville High School Band. She spent the vast majority of her professional life in the legal world. In 2014, she retired from the legal department of Macy’s, Inc. (formerly May Department Stores Company) where she worked for more than 20 years. She took great pride in her strong work ethic and contribution to the organization.
Diana loved spending time with her family. She also adored all of the puppy dogs she had through the years whether she adopted them or they found her. She was a very creative person and loved quilting and crafts. She was always ready with a helping hand, words of wisdom, and a compassionate ear. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Diana was preceded in death by her beloved paternal grandparents, Alice Peradotti and Peter Peradotti, and her parents, Raymond Peradotti and Diana Peradotti. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Turpin and Alicia Obernuefemann; Alicia’s fiancé, Christopher Maas, whom Diana loved as a son; her two favorite people and cherished grandsons, Jordan Brawand and Jacob Turpin; her sister and best friend, Donna Evans; beloved brother-in-law, Robert Evans; her nephew Michael Evans and his wife, Kelly Evans; her great-nephew, Owen Evans; and her great-niece, Lily Evans.
Diana requested that her remains be cremated and for her family to hold a private gathering in her honor.
