Diana Fay (Krueger) Pitliangas
It is with a heavy heart that we’ve lost a member of our family:
Diana Fay (Krueger) Pitliangas on June 27th, 2024.
After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the age of 40, she was given the opportunity to be an experimental patient for Deep Brain Stimulation at Barnes Hospital, to which she jumped completely in with both feet. Upon completing the surgery she became the “poster girl” for Barne’s Hospital as she came through with flying colors. So how did she live her life after this miraculous surgery? “OUT OF THE BOX”…..she had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest!!!! She was a creative decorator with homes and clothing, a cunning racquetball player, card shark, gardener, extremely smart, math wizard and a wonderful sense of humor!!! When she laughed you laughed with her and on top of all this she was BEAUTIFUL inside and out.
She continued to live with Parkinson’s for 36 years and unfortunately the last few years became harder to deal with as the desease continued to progress. She did it better than anyone we know..never stopped exerting her independence and doing everything in her power to live life to the fullest. God love you Di….kuddo’s for all you did along the way ….you are our HERO!!!!
Diana was born on September 13, 1947 to Lee and Clara Krueger of Ferguson, MO. She graduated from McCluer High School in 1965. She was blessed with two amazing daughters, Kimberly and Carrie Pitliangas and a beautiful grandaughter “Thaxton” who was the apple of her eye.
Di was predeceased by her parents, brother Ed Krueger, brother in laws Bob Stubbs and Al Milke. She is survived by her sisters; Rosie Stubbs, Linda Milke, Cheri Kirkpatrick, nieces and nephews, sister in law and her extended brother & sisters; the Moellering family.
“A LIGHT HAS GONE OUT OF OUR LIVES, BUT THE LOVE YOU GAVE WILL SHINE FOREVER”
I had known Dianne since grade school at Lee Hamilton. We were good friends all through highschool, and we graduated from McCluer in 1965. We had played at each other’s house and I believe she rhode ponies and horses with me at my house on Alicia. Dianne was a beautiful, fun loving young woman who was always kind and considerate of others.
