October 11, 1952-December 30, 2017~

Beloved mother, sister, and friend, Emilia Medina, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in her home, in University City, MO after being ill for the last 10 years.

Emilia was born in Leadsville, CO on October 11, 1952 to Mary Teresa Serena and Rubel O. Medina, who precede her in death.

Emilia took pride in raising her three children on her own and helping to raise her grandchildren. She was willing to put the need of others first when she could. Emilia rarely thought of herself. Emilia worked as a nurse’s aide when she was younger. Emilia enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, she wouldn’t take “no” for an answer.

Emilia was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pagedale, MO. She had introduced her grandchildren to the church and always invited friends to meet with the missionaries. Emilia was always faithful and ready to share her faith with anyone willing to listen.

Emilia is survived by her two sons, Shawn, who lives in California; and Mike, who lives in University City, MO and her daughter Dannielle “Dannie”, who lives in University City, MO. Emilia is also survived by eight grandchildren and multiple siblings.

Emilia Medina’s memorial services will be held at 7400 Page Ave, Pagedale, MO 63133 on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided for family and close friends after the service at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Pagedale Branch.
