Uncle Ernie was so much fun! When my kids were small, he would always flip his teeth (dentures) up and out a little to their delight! They would squeal and ask him to do it again and again. My kids wanted to be able to do that too and couldn’t figure out why they weren’t able to do so! He loved making them laugh. He would also color with them! He was such an artist! He always drew cartoon figures for them. He was so talented and loved drawing. He never refused a request to share his gift. And his drawings were so funny, happy, and beautiful! I am so sorry for his loss, but he was ready to go. My sincere condolences and love to Aunt Rosie, Jan, Sue, and their families. He was one of the good ones! Rest in peace Uncle Ernie. I love you.

When I was a little girl my uncle Ernie called me his twin. He said we looked alike.. He was more like a big brother growing up. He was very special to me. He was very talented . He has a special place in my heart. I love him and miss him deeply. RIP UNCLE ERNIE.

One of my fondest memories of Uncle Ernie was his love of his train set that he had on Audry. It was so fun seeing how he added to it each year. I remember him always taking us downstairs to see it. He was so proud of it as he should be. It was so awesome!!! He was talented in so many ways! I remember him always being happy and being kind to me. Thank you for that Uncle Ernie! I love you, will miss you this side of Heaven, but know that I will see you again! Rest well in the arms of our loving Savior. Love you! Prayers for you Aunt Rosie, Sue and Janet and everyone in your families. May you find peace in happy memories of the man you all loved so well. Love to you all❤️

Remembering so many memories that we’ve shared through the years. From the ballgames we used to play in the backyard with Rosie, Nonie and Daddy to trips to Cherokee, North Carolina with us and our kids, to the trips we took to Las Vegas with you, Rosie, Delbert and me. You have always been a special part of my life and I will miss you greatly. Love, Pat

I remember playing waffle ball between him and myself over the backyard fence. Seeing Mary Poppins with Jan & Sue at Airways Drive-in on the St. Charles Rock Road, in about 1964 or 1965 ! They had Playgrounds such swings. As neighbors we all had many wonderful memories and many trips to Six Flags in 1960’s or 1970’s with Terry and myself which is near his birth town.
