Jennifer, Audrey, Mr . Lucash and Marisa –

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. The news of David’s passing has lingered in my thoughts all week. I will always remember him as someone who made others feel special….as someone who is incredibly smart….and as someone who influenced my taste in music over the years. I have so many fond memories of him going back to our days at St. Henry’s. I remember all of us St Henry’s kids walking to Pizza Hut after games to listen to the juke box, have pizza and play video games. I remember one of his birthday parties where he had all the kids over to watch the original Indiana Jones movie. I remember a funny t-shirt he once gave me as a birthday present. I remember him in the St Henry’s “computer lab” doing some kind of crazy advanced programming on a Radio Shack Texas Instruments old school computer. So many fond memories….

For decades, any time I hear Natalie Merchant and 10,000 Maniacs, I think of him. Tonight, I will listen to Like the Weather and Trouble Me and raise a glass to say goodbye and honor his memory. My deepest condolences to the entire family. Praying for all of you during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of David’s passing. He was a lovely person who always lended a hand and went above and beyond to help, even when it wasn’t his area of expertise or responsibility. He also had the driest sense of humor. I could never tell when he was joking and was fooled by him more than once. I’m so happy he found a wife and child to share his life with. I wish you all had been given more time together. You are in my thoughts.

I knew Dave in college. Have not seen him in many years and very sorry to hear of this. Great guy! Loved to have him around our group of music fans. He was quick with a joke and a delight to be around.

There was a period of time just after college that David shared his musical talents with my brothers and my wife in the early stages of our band Prune. In prior years I loved his ethereal guitar stylings in Castle Ferish and I was thrilled to be able to create new music with David. Hard to know how much musical compromising he endured as we hashed out our early sound because he was so accomodating and patient with all involved. My heartfelt condolensces to his lovely family. I have no doubt he was quietly proud and grateful to be in your lives.

To the Lucash family and his many friends,
David was a kind and generous human, you are fortunate to have had him in your life. I met David through the mutual interest in vintage scooters and spent hours getting to know him via the phone years ago. A great fellow, creative & fun, he will be missed.
My heart travels out to all that knew and loved David.

    RIP friend,

It was really terrific getting to know David back in the 90s. He was clever, creative, funny, and well-liked. Many of us from SLU will remember him as an interesting person with a wealth of great cultural knowledge.

When I would run into David in recent years, the conversation would inevitably turn towards his family. He clearly was especially proud.

May God bless David’s family with peace and strength.

I just learned of David’s passing and am so sorry for his loss. David and I knew each at back at SLU so it has been decades since regularly seeing him, but he is the kind of person where you heart warms the moment you hear his name – so when I learned of his loss my heart filled with memories of his kindness and warmth – even 20+ years later he leaves that kind of deep impression. My condolences to his family and all loved ones, I know he is deeply missed.
