Gary Stephen Crawford
Gary Stephen Crawford was born on August 30th 1953 to the union of Mildred and Robert Crawford. He was raised in Saint Louis City and attended Sumner high school. Gary would go on to marry the love of his life Cheryl Ann Hodge in the fall of 1977(D.1985). who went on to the Lord in March 2002.
He loved playing his bass guitar with dreams of performing with Earth Wind and Fire. Hanging out with family and friends was his favorite past time.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Robert Crawford and older brother Michael Lee. He leaves behind his son Donta (daughter in law Lori Crawford) and daughter Danielle Holliman, sisters Anne Crawford, Mary Means and Janice Crawford and a host of nieces and nephews.
I am so sorry to hear of Gary’s passing. He was one of the lead singers in my family’s group, the Wade Brothers Cro-Shade Sounds. He recorded records with them and traveled to gigs with them for years! My brothers searched for him for years after they lost touch. He was a great singer who could sing his butt off!
