Tribute

If my mother had a trademark phrase, it might have been, “If you know better you can do better.” While this is a sad time for all who knew our mother, we are certain she wants us to look to our blessings and be thankful for them. To that end, my sister, brothers and I would like to tell you about our blessings, and thank our mother for all that she has given us.

Thank you Mama, for teaching us what it means to be a beautiful person who leads with love for teaching us to be phenomenal women and stand-up men. Thank you for guiding us towards our inner strength, teaching us to love ourselves as well as enabling us to love others unconditionally.

Specifically Mama, thank you for being our one-woman cheering squad at every sporting event, academic performance and honoree event. Thank you Mama for being the most incredible mother to us all. Thank you for being an amazing grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Thank you for being our universal problem solver. Forever diplomatic, you mediated more conflicts than can be counted, along with providing “in house” therapy. When needed you were our: money manager, tax consultant, financial backer, and bill collector. You truly were the wind beneath our wings.

Thank you Mama, for these and all the things that made you our Mama.

My Aunt was such a beautiful lady. She showed me how to keep my poise in most situations. I could always count on my aunt to keep it real with me. She would let me know when she didn’t agree with my choices but still let allowed me the freedom to follow my own path. I am sure gonna miss our Saturday talks, but I’ll alway think of you as I watch the birds eat from the feeders on my balcony. Love ❤️ you Aunt Ginny!!!

This is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful woman. I learned alot from you and as I’ve gotten older I have learned to appreciate your wisdom. You will be missed dearly but I’m happy you are at peace and no longer in pain. I’m glad you were able to see Marca become the successful proud woman you knew she could be. That was important to her. Rest well you have earned it

I’ll always think of you when I see fire flies. Chasing them in your yard as a child. They remind me of your brilliant smile and the warmth it brought. Rest In Peace and may God grant me the strength and wisdom to leave behind as strong a legacy as you have left. I love you and will see you again.

Mom, You are now whole again as you were when you were born & you are free from all pain & suffering. God’s love was with you each & every day. You shared that same love with us all no matter what was going on in your life. Thank you Mom for blessing us each day as God blessed you. You are with God now in heaven. Mom is a very special person to us all. If it wasn’t for Mom when she was married to dad we would not have done most of the things we did. Mom had to always talk sense into Dad’s brain & Mom worked hard at trying to keep Dad on the straight & narrow path n his life but he choose a different direction n life. God & Mom will be keeping watch over us for the rest of our lives. When we feel sad please always think of the good times, the laughter & smiles. Thank you sisters for everything you have done with & for Mom.

Whenever I saw Genevieve, I told her that she was a classy woman. She was so well put together. She was gracious too. She will be missed always.
